ScholarPark was founded with the mission of making quality education more accessible to individuals across Sub-Saharan Africa, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) on quality education. Sub-Saharan Africa has the highest rates of education exclusion among developing regions, with over one-fifth of primary-age children out of school and nearly 60% of youth aged 15-17 not enrolled in education (World Bank, 2023).
One of the key barriers to education in the region is financial strain. A 2021 Global Findex survey found that over 54% of adults in Sub-Saharan Africa are deeply worried about school fees, with 29% citing them as their biggest financial concern, even above medical expenses and household bills (World Bank, 2021).
At ScholarPark, we are committed to reducing both financial and informational barriers to education and educational opportunities. We do this by:
Providing sponsorship opportunities to cover tuition fees for high school students.
Offering guidance and mentorship through personalized consultations, allowing students to seek academic and career advice, motivation, and emotional support
